Hello, I have a report, single column. It contains a subreport, which has 2 columns.

My problem... The sub report, when printed alone, functions quite nicely, with the 2 columns side by side.

As a sub report though, the second column is not present, but is treated as if it has only one column.

It is possible that what I am trying is not possible, but seems like it should be. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Try increasing the size of the subreport by double clickingn the boarder of the sub report. You might not have given it enough room on the page to print it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly, it does not seem to have an effect. I increased the size to the point that I get blank pages, but still no second column.

Subreports will only show multiple columns if you select the layout to go Across-Then Down. There are complex methods to get around this. There is a sample multi-column report that doesn't use "layout-columns" at

If you set the subreport's "Can Grow" property to No, it will fill the 2 columns. But it won't go to a 2nd page if it fills the 2 columns... so the data won't all be displayed if they run over the space allotted to your subreport control.
