Simultaneous Paging

Hey, all.

Got a customer that wants to do simultaneous paging, over the phones and paging speakers. I've got the paging speakers hooked up to a station port (IVR port) and it all works properly.

So I set up a HuntGroup with the appropriate digital phones, and also added the paging extension. I then created a shortcode for paging..

Num: 405

However, with this setup it rings the digital phones once, then the paging picks up. I've also tried doing this with both the Dial, Dial Direct, and Dial Paging features just for kicks to no avail. Tier 2 tech support from the distributor tells me that "Dial Extn" is the proper setup, but that I need to upgrade to 4.1.15 or above for this to operate properly.

I'm going to spend some time upgrading both sites, but does this sound like it is setup correctly? They are currently on 4.1.12, on an IP412 processor.

For mixed paging change the overhead port to Paging Speaker and user DialPaging short codes.

The IVR port type is just for an overhead device on its own

I'll do that, thanks. Document on simultaneous paging from the disti said to use IVR port, which didn't really make sense to me anyways -- I'll switch to Paging Speaker and use DialPaging post-upgrade.
