simulating CO b/t norstar and bcm

does anyone have any insight?

in our lab i have a Mics xc 6.1 and bcm50 that are connected to each other through an adtran atlas 800. when both are set up as PRI and you try to call from the norstar to the bcm there is about a 4 second delay before bcm starts to ring. but when both are set up as T1 and you try to call from norstar to bcm there is about a 14 second delay before the bcm starts to ring. what in the norstar is holding those digits so long before sending them? i have been reassured by our data guy that it is not the atlas 800 causing the delay.

Are you using private Oli or public.What and how many digits are you sending.There is a timer under dialing plan.
Under public DN's you mite have to add the lead digit in the plan -3 for 3500 then 4 digits.

Take the Atlas out of the loop by hooking the systems together with a T1 Crossover cable.
