Hi All,
This week we have been simulating a total loss on one of our servers. We have successfully (according to BE 8.6) restored all data, security and registry to the new server, but when it starts it gives a BSOD and talks about an "inaccessible_boot_device".
We installed a parrallel copy of WINDOWS NT 4 onto a drive on the new server, as per the technotes on the veritas website.
We are now assuming that the server will not start because of hardware differencies between the original and the new one. Does anyone have any ideas how to overcome this in case we need to do this for real.
Thanks.
