Simulate Function Keys

Hello
I have some scripts that I use to run a screen driven application. To simulate the user input to the application I build a datafile containing the keystrokes that the user would enter.
echo "BATCH\nBATCH\nQ\r" > keys
creates the file that would log me in as BATCH the Quit the Application.
I can accomplish just about anything that I need, Until I need a FunctionKey.
How can I get the keys file to contain the value for Function Keys.

try using [tt]stty[/tt] in a command prompt to see what your terminal is sending when you press these function keys...
