hi I have a website created in frontpage i want to edit
im not really happy messing about in notepad,

I have a slight problem wher emy cd drive on my laptop isnt working and i cant load frontpage on my machine, im looking for a editor i can download from the web, which will show me my page sin my site in a columns on the left , and by clicking on the page i can edit the site.

And jsut when you thought that sounded easy, i need to be abel to download this program via my mobile ot my laptop (maybe able to get a line connectionn but doubtful) by mobile has abaud rate of 9600!

dreamweaver will take forever and a day to download!! ----------------------------------------
There are 2 types of computer, the prototype and the obsolete!!

You don't have many options. WYSIWYG or html editor.

I'd recommend or text-pad which are REAL editors. If you want to do it "visually" them Dreamweaver is your best option. Try the Adobe website, I think they also have a visual editor.

Downloading ANY program through a mobile will be a majour problem. I'd suggest you edit the code by hand! Or else find some other way to download the programs

You must have dail-up connection, because on DSL or Cable connection the d/l time is pretty fast...
You can try doing a search on for any HTML editors...but cian is right, your options are not that many... I have not failed; I have merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

So... it would take ages at that rate... it would be slow on 56k let alone 9.6k ----------------------------------------

You might try 1st page from Evrsoft.

They have a free version that might be a smaller download and faster on your laptop.

It's what I first used when learning HTML and Web page design. Almost real time WYSIWYG editing. You had to make changes in the code view and then go to a "preview" mode to see the changes.

But hey, it's free and ran relatively fast on my slooooow (60khz - ow!) machine at home.

I'm sure there are other possible options too. There's a short list at:
Might want to check 'em out.

Good luck.
