Hi there...

Please does anyone know where I can find a fairly simple calendar to add onto a dropdown (sys)menu option in VFP6?

I don't necessarily need to add diary text or have a date picker, but what I would like if possible, is just to highlight Sat & Sundays in a different colour to Mon-Fri.

If it was possible to program and highlight bank hols that would just be an extra bonus - but it's not vital.

I've looked at quite a few examples, but I need it to be easy to integrate with the VFP application and maybe something that is a little larger than the standard Windows Date & Time properties Calendar (or poss even resizeable for those who need it bigger).

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Karen

Karen,

In addition to Nigel's suggestions, there's a calendar control that comes with VFP. Take a look at the Help topic "ActiveX Calendar Foundation Class" (that's the name of the topic in VFP 9.0; it might be different in 6.0, but the control itself is the same).

If you can't find anything you like, you can always roll your own. I did that once; it only took a couple of hours, if I remember right.

Mike

Hi again

Thanks for your replies. I had seen most of these examples.

I've managed to colour the weekdays based on Craig Boyd's sample forms from the SPS Blog link. That should do the trick for now

Thank you all very much

Karen

Thanks TeknoSoft. I would have liked to but I am still working in VFP6, so I can't get into the RCS versions due to things in VFP9 that are missing from VFP6. Karen

Hi Griff

Thank you very much for doing that - it's great. As I want the weeks to start Monday, I rearranged the form headings to show Mon - Sun and changed the Calendar Refresh procedure to use DOW(m.TDATE,2) in place of DOW(m.TDATE,1) (I couldn't do that with the Calendar that I had before)

You are a superstar. I really appreciate it.

Cheers

Karen

Thank you, I am happy to help.

Feel free to adopt/adapt as you wish.
