I am new to Macromedia Flash and am working with Flash 5. I am currently updating a site that somebody else designed. I went through the tutorial that came with the program and figured out how to change the information I need to in the .FLA file, but the guy who designed the site saved the scenes in separate .swf files. There are separate swf files for the intro, preloader, scenes, etc but only one fla file. How do I save the scene that I just edited from the fla file to the right swf file?

If all the scenes are in the same .fla then there should be but one main .swf. Individual .swfs would need to have their own .flas! What probably happened is that, when you're in the Flash application itself, you can test individual scenes, and to do so Flash outputs .swfs named following the scene tested. So if he or you tested individual scenes, then that would explain the presence of those separate scene swfs. Regards,

Thanks you for the advice. It was such a simple problem; it has been driving me crazy all day. (starting out in this field all alone really makes one feel like a dumbass sometimes.)
