I am looking for a very simple piece of bar codeing software. I have shopped and most of the software I am seeing is very feature rich and.... too much for my use.
I want a piece of software that I can set up and link with an excel document that has five columns. The first column would be the item #, the second through fifth column would be each respective description. This software would simply prompt the end user to scan a products barcode; and then fetch the infortmation from the excel spreadsheet and print out a pre formatted label with the corresponding barcode's information.
An example I want is as follows... and I want no more then this.
1. End user loads the application, a prompt asks the user to scan the barcode... say the barcode is of a Lays Baked Potato chips. After the scan another prompt would ask the quantity.
2. The user scans... and out of a printer comes a label that would have 5 lines... one line would say Lays, Line 2 would reflect the prompted quantity, Line 3 would say "plain baked potato chips", Line 4 would say "$0.99'. Line 5 would have a copy of the scanned barcode.
I appreciate anyone's help with this.
Thank You,
Michael
