Mar 4, 2003 Thread starter #3 snyderj MIS Mar 2, 2001 242 US Looking for a script to allow or deny running an exe on a local PC by any users -- not related to web site. For example, deny everyone from running notepad.exe on a local PC. Should work for at least W2K, but prefer solution for W9x, NT and XP also. xcacls may work but I haven't really looked into the right syntax. snyderj Upvote 0 Downvote

Mar 4, 2003 Thread starter #4 snyderj MIS Mar 2, 2001 242 US I think I've overcome my major hurdle: I was using a deficient xcacls. The one at http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/tools/existing/xcacls-o.asp works great for my purpose. Upvote 0 Downvote
