Simple rowset to Excel file?

I don't design DTS much. But isn't the standard method for outputting a recordset to an xls...using the transform data task from a SQL Server source to a Text File Destination..as a .csv With my query in the source query in the transform data task?

If there is a better way please let me know?

Also in attempting the above method, I can't define the transformation as my query has #worktables, do I have to come up with a new query(s) w/out the #worktables??
