Simple "IF" Formula Won't Work

Hello,

I am trying to evaluate a field in my database that "contains" a certain word. I can't seem to get this to work... there is no function for "contains"...

I tried

if {HISTORY.DESCRIPTION} like "estimates" then "True"

Any ideas? Thanks so much!!

if instr({HISTORY.DESCRIPTION},"estimates") > 0 then "True
