hello every one;

What is the font type and font size that appears on apple.com web site.

I mean the big font on their front page.

Any idea?

Thank you all

Which one?

Every time you refresh you are presented with a different screen.

There are 3 screens I note:
• eMac
• iPhoto1.1
• new 800Mhz Titanium...

Which one are you talking about, can you take a screen capture and post it here for us to see.

Keep us posted!

Thank you ,

On most of the pages the big text that appears is the font i'm talking about.

i.e on the main page (I relize that every time it may be different) but most times you see a text that says:
..new 800Mhz Titanium...
the other one is when I click on the iTools ( on the menu bar) and the text is :

iTools at your service.

Dear Spirderix, I should mention that I do not have a mac and I'm looking to find out the type and name of the font that is used at the apple site.

Thanks much.

You could e-mail them and ask.

Sometimes companys have font's designed or made specialy for them.

Honestly I think it is custom made. It is probably "The Mac font" LOL

Tell me are you also talking about the one found on the front on the new MAC OS-X box.

Let me know. I can check all of our fonts. We have like 1600 total on both IBM bad MAC. Might be able to find it for you. Don't have much hope of apple.com telling you.

Thanks Dear friend,

Yes, that is the font I'm talking about.

Thanks very much.

OK, give me a day and I'll try to see if I have it, then if I do I'll give it to you. I am quite busy, but I will do the best I can.

Hope this helps!

You are the BEST, Thanks a million.

OK, I found what you are looking for. Sort of.

The font they use is no-doubt a custom font, and is probably not available to the public (but you could probably find it somewhere), but what I can tell you is that the base font that they used to create their font is:
"Adobe Garamond" looks exactly the same. What they have done though is filled in some spots on that font and distorted it a bit. Strectched it out.

Now for the bad news. I believe, (not 100% sure), this is ONLY a MAC font, and isn't available for use on IBM. But again it has to be out there somewhere. The internet is huge, it is all a matter of looking and spending a lot of time searching for it, you will eventually find it, but where, I don't know. If you are trying to re-create the apple font, then your best bet is to use "Adobe Garamond", but you will need to create it on a MAC, then rasterize the layer or render the layer (depending on what version of Photoshop you have) then you can transfer the .psd file on an IBM and continue working there.

Hope this helps! :)

OK I lied. You can get Adobe Garamond, but you have to buy it for $21.00 USD. How dumb is that, who the hell would sell fonts, thats horrible! Shame on them!

You might be able to find a free one out there somewhere. Most font websites that have pirated fonts, or business logo fonts, alter the name slightly (ex- Dodge trucks have a particular font, but the font is called Dodger, and ISUZU vehicles use a particular font, but it is called USUZI) you might have to get creative ways of re-arranging the word Adobe Garamond to find it.

Hope this helps!
