I know it seems like too simple of a question but I am obviously very new at this.
I am using PB 7.0 on Windows 2000
I am connecting to 2 diffrent ODBC sources:
Adaptive Server Anywhere
Microsoft Access
both exist on the local machine (no network connection)
I have built the executable, and it runs fine on the development machine, but now I need to deploy it.
What do I need to do to be able to get it to run on a new machine, one that does not have sybase loaded on it. The machine will have Office so I can use the ODBC driver from that. How and where do I get the driver for ASA to appear in the ODBC administrator.
Also is there a way to automate some or all of this, so that the user just clicks an executable and everything unpacks.
The only product I have access to is PowerBuilder 7, and the CDs that came with it. Is there something in there that I am overlooking that could help me?
Please help Randall2nd
