Hey,
First off, this forum has helped alot so far in the planning and brainstorming phase of this project.
I need to be able to create a very simple VPN (and cheap). From what I understand XP Pro can act as a VPN host but only have one connection. What I want to do is allow one single user to establish a VPN from his home and work on the small Workgroup we have set up in the office. This is whqat I got, let me know if I am totally off base...
6 XP Pro machines setup as a workgroup in the office. A Linksys WRT54G router going into a Netopia 3346 ASDL Gateway. I do have a static IP address. On one machine I have created an incoming connection and have forwarded all incoming requests to that machine. Next I have set up a client connection on another XP Pro machine and tried to connect. I point that machine to the public IP address of the Netopia which then forwards that request to the XP Pro Host and I get -
Error 678: There was not answer.
I can remote desktop using that public IP address to the XP Pro host I want to use. I can ping the Public IP address.
Any help would be appreciated.
