simple: how to make files open automatically, ie. no dialogue box

I'm creating a list of links directly to docuements (mostly MS word, excel and PPT). Every time I click on one of these links i get a dialogue box asking me if I want to open or save the document.

Any way of avoiding this and having the document open immediately?

No there is no way around that (atleast not with out of the box functionality).

There's a workaround that you can do, but requires changing each client's settings.

Could be done with a .reg file via a batch script I suppose.
