Hi.
Couple of questions from someone that is new to Flash.

I am creating a very simple Flash site, I put up a non-animation swf at

The first time I went to the site I could see it, but now I do not see it, I only get a blank screen in Internet Explorer. However, if I right-mouse click on the blank page, I get the Macromedia Flash menu bar, which suggests it is still there! Why is it not loading for me?

(would be interested if you see the site, it is a very plain family tree page at the moment)

Also, how do I make a swf page my front page of my website, at the moment I am using web forwarding with my domain host, can I do it by renaming the macromedia.html to index.html.

What is the relationship between a .html and a .swf of a published flash site?

Sorry for the extremely basic questions, but if you could help me I would much appreciate it, as the help that comes with Macromedia isnt up to much.

Thanks
RM

It usual to embed your .swf in an html and not directly link to it. Flash, through it's Publish Settings, can output an html with your movie embedded into it. That's the html you should be using. Furthermore you seem to be using a frameset, and I've never seen a frameset directly using a .swf as a frame source. I can't even see your movie if I link directly to: You sure the path is right?

Try through the process described above.
