I have created a form that is based off a query when the form opens it displays a blank page with no records. I enter in a record and then move to the next blank record. I can move back and forth between the records with no problem.

However, once I close the form and reopen it, I get the blank form, but no previous records are shown in the navigation buttons.

The data is in the tables ok. I think I need to run a query upon loading the form, but I can't remember the syntex.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, check the settings on the form is data entry set to 'yes'. if so set it to no

Thanks for your reply, data entry is set to no. I can add new records, but can not display the old records once the form has been closed and reopened.

hi, hmmm strange. Show me the query in SQL does it have join that is not satisfied.

Just on the off chance ... do you have a filter on your form? Try Remove Filter/Sort from the Records menu (I'm not sure but this might be called Show All Records in pre-XP versions of Access).

Hope this helps.
