This isn't exclusively a VPN topic but it has arisen through our use of it.
We need to transfer files from one office to another and have been using the VPN connection to do so very successfully. Of course, if large files are being sent then the file copy box is sitting on the desktop for a while but so what.
However, since some people have become familiar with Dropbox, they get the idea that file transfer is instantaneous since they appear to put a file in the Dropbox folder and there is no file copy box ticking off the seconds while it goes. An illusion, of course, but it got me thinking.
Is there any way to mimic this behaviour so that dropping a file into an Explorer window showing folders on the remote site does not bring up the normal copy box, but just transfers behind the scenes?
Thanks.
Tim
