Currently, my crystal report displays each record on separate page. I want all records to be displayed on the same page grouped by a field I have chosen.
I want to group items by location, so, grouped on location field, but it isn't grouping items by location.
How can I fix this? Thanks.

Crystal doesn't insert page breaks when you group, someone must have added them to the report in either the group level or at some other section level.

You've supplied no technical information, such as version of Crystal, table layouts, etc., so all someone might do is familiarize you with the Crystal interface:

Right click your existing Group (and probably other sections if this doesn't resolve) and select Format Section or Section Expert (depends on your version) and check the New Page After and New Page Befores to make sure they are not checked, and that there's no code forcing a page break (select the X 2 next to each).

The report now appears in one page after unchecking the "new page before" property.

It still is not grouping by Location even when I grouped items by Location. The other fields (item, description, warehouse) on the report are from a related table (FK itemID). Also, how can I display the group header (Location)on the report ? I am using Crystal ver. 8.01. Thanks.

Change group expert shows tablename.Location - A.

I thought when inserting group, it automatically populates the group header name (i.e. name of the field grouping by). I tried Insert field: Group Name Fields and dragging group #1 name:tablename.Location to the GH section, still doesn't show the group header name. Then dragged it to detail section, same result.
Then, instead of Location, I grouped and placed different field (WarehouseID) in the GH section, seems like whatever
I group and place on the GH or Detail section, it won't display anything. Checked the format section setting for Group header and unchecked everything, no change in result. Is there any report setting that I am not aware of? Thanks.
