does anyone know of a cookie script that would leave the last selected option in an option box on a form to be the "default" selection when the page is reloaded on the same computer.?

any hints, directions, scripts, and comments would be greatly appreciated!

Im afraid of cookies, so I would store any and all user prefeneces in a database.

Im sure its just a matter of setting the cookie and then retrieving it and setting the selectbox.selectedIndex property or something
