Out Admin left with no notice and my IS manager needs me to step in to do something on the Exchange server using networker backup software. But its telling me that I need to do it in the active NODE...

How do I determine which node is Active in the Cluster...

sorry for such a lame question....but I have been thrown into the fire

cluadmin .

And click on groups for the cluster you want to check

specifically, go to start menu, then administrative tools (from proggrams menu or control panel), then choose cluster administrator
when prompted for cluster to connect to, try keeping it blank (it should default to local cluster)
once it connects, expand out, highlight anything inside the top node and look at right pane...it should give servernames, as well as online/offline status.

the online server is the active node
