Hello! This is a simple question. I configured some ports speed and duplex on a 4500 series switch and just need to know if I need to do a write mem to save those changes. Thank you!

You always need to save the config on an IOS device. Only CatOS saves changes automatically.

The 4500 is generally a IOS box so you need to do a " write mem" at the command line or "copy run start " which does the same thing . The older 4000 series were catos and no saving was neccessary as once you made the change it was saved .
