Simple - Changing the time limit of trying to access a page

Hi
I have sime sites that it take ages to reach, and then I get a msg that time has exceeded for trying to reach this page.
How can I change this time limit and let the browser longer time to try and reach the page?
I didn't find it in Intenet options, but mybe I just missed it.
