Hey there, i just started using ldap and I get most of it. Except for the following: I try to set up a simple address book which will be shared by others. Now i can get ldap up and running and also add data via the terminal, but how can I configure addresses books so that I can add/remove data via a normal address book (ie entourage or outlook). I tried authentication and it works, it will login but I cannot change data. Im I trying to do something which is impossible? do I need to add data via a ldap client? Is there anyone who can shed light to this....cannot find a good tutorial for this.

thanks in advance....

cursief999,

The limitations of read/write access are dependent upon your method of your programing to access the LDAP server.
