Simphony ISL @chk_open_time -> Regional Settings

In Simphony ISL @chk_open_time is a string.

I need it as a Date data type, i.e. I need to be sure to get a correct date irrespective of the regional format: DD/MM/YY or MM/DD/YY.

or at least I need a variable to tell me the format.
