I know the answer to this questions varies dramatically based on the buying power of those looking to purchase a license.

I am wondering what Oracle are currently charging for a basic Simphony system installation and yearly support.
I just want a ballpark idea.

Do you want some custom SIM scripts developed. Contact me via my website

B84711 - Oracle Hospitality Simphony Standard Cloud Service - POS Client NORTH AMERICA 1 Units 1 month 75.00
B81483 - Oracle Hospitality Simphony Credit Card Interface Cloud Service - POS Client NORTH AMERICA 1 Units 1 month 4.00
Had to prepay for 36 months.
Implementation/training was $25K for a site with 4 RVC and 21 terminals.

We have been with Micros/Oracle since 3700 version 1.0 Have always just paid for the license fees and never for programming/install/implementation. They don't like it but if you push them far enough they will do this. Or at least for us they have up until now. If they put any of that stuff in the contracts I just scratch it off and put what we are going to pay them. You of course need to be ok with doing your own install and training etc. Just an FYI. You will also piss off your local dealer by doing this but have saved lots of money over the years.

The question now is whether you will get away with that in a Simphony world when RES premier support ends in 2022 and your devices are no longer PCI DSS compliant.
You will be forced to migrate to Simphony or to another customer.

@CathalMF can you expand on that? Premier support has already ended on my version of RES (5.5) Even the latest Simphony is slated to end 2025 i believe. For the most part some extended and most sustaining support has no end dates though. We use a third party for PCI as well. I realize they would like to push everyone into Simphony We looked at but are content with 3700 for now. Just wondering what your thoughts are
