Group,

My company was recently purchased and switched to Lotus Notes 6.5. We're all getting used to notes databases, mail, etc.

There is a functionality that I enjoyed in Outlook and I can't seem to find it in Notes.

In Outlook I could set options to occur "after moving or deleting an open item". From the drop-down I could select return to Inbox, open next item or open the previous item. It was very productive for me to open an email, read it and have the 'cursor' go to the next unread email. I know it seems picky, but it was nice not to have to the delete button, then the up arrow every time. I have 100 emails when I get done with a meeting and this saves me tons of time.

I would like to be able to open (or preview, either one) an email in Notes, delete it and have the cursor or active email automatically move to the NEXT unread email as opposed to the next read email like it is doing.

Thanks in advance for a response.

Don't use the preview pane. If you open the email from your inbox (rather than the welcome pane/preview pane)<enter> will take you to the next email, <delete> will delete the email you are reading and take you to the next. No setting is necessary (if I understand the nature of your question)
