Similar computer found on n/w error while using two N/w cards

Hi,
I have instaled one Win 2000 on IBM netfinity 7000, after installing NetBeui Protocol, Iam getting Simalar computer name found on n/w, i have tried giving some junk name to it, but still iam getting same error(No such comp name exist on n/w).
if i uninstall this protocol iam not getting this error.

Pl suggest me

That would make sense. NetBEUI is not a routable protocol, so if both interfaces are connected to the same physical network, you'll get an error. You need to unbind NetBEUI from one of the interfaces or, even better, dispense with it altogether, it's outmoded and completely unneccesary ina mdoern environment.

the only time the above configuration would be applicable would be if the machine was connected to tw seperate network segments, but even then, there's no point as the two networks could never talk using NetBEUI.
