SilverMaster and Application database

Do u know the difference between SilverMaster database and Application database in silverstream server3.7?

I don't really understand your question but here we had bad experience using sssw 3.71 with Oracle... , switched back to 3.53!

sssw 3.7.2 resolves the problem with calling oracle procedures. But the CallableSatetement.close() method don't seems to work.

The SilverMaster database catalog is a database used by SilverStream. There is one SilverMaster catalog for each SilverStream server or SilverStream cluster. The SilverMaster keeps track of all of the application databases used by the SilverStream server and also holds the SilverStream system tables, for example, tables containing security group and user information.
When you create the data base for the application it also add some system table to it along with ur app tables.

Hi friend

do you know how to deploy the JSP in SilverStream appllication server3.7.

I installed the SilverStream 3.7 in the C directory of my machine.

Is it necessary to set the classpath to the WAR directory?

I created the war file as test.war containing test.jsp, i put the test.war file in c:\silverstream37\WAR directory.

test.jsp is the jsp file.i put it in c:\silverstream37\war\root directory.

I am using SilverCMD tool to build the war file and also to deploy the war file to SilverStream application server.

c:\silverstream37\war>SilverCMD BuildWAR localhost mydatabase root\test.jsp -n test.war

localhost - server machine
mydatabase - silvermaster database name.

test.war file is created with this contents....

added manifest
adding: root/test.jsp(in = 298) (out = 200)(deflated 32%)

While i deploying the war file from the command line tool i am getting this error.

c:\silverstream37\war>SilverCMD DeployWAR localhost mydatabase test.war -f deplplan.xml -o

where deplplan.xml is the deployment descriptor for the war file.

Error:

Database 'mydatabase' not found on the server

http://localhost

anybody knows the solution for this problem.....

Can anyone put more light on the differences between silverstream 3.7.2 and silverstream 3.7.3?
Also there seems to be a problem with creating a new session after invalidation the session for the same user. It throws IllegalStateException: Session has already been invalidated. Can anyone help me please?
