Hi all,

I have a silly question.

I was thinking of make some kind of multimedia server for my internal network. What I would like to do is take all my MP3's, put them on a Linux box, and serve them to my Windows box and my other Linux box, plus make an option to put the audio through my stereo.

I've already checked on Sourceforge.net, but can anyone recommend a good jukebox server program to install?

Does anyone see any benefits or downfalls to my idea? J.R. Juiliano

RhythmAce,

Thanks! Very close to what I want! I'm trying to find a spare computer to put all this on, and then I can start playing around with it all.

Thanks again. J.R. Juiliano

If that doesn't work check out rplayd, and it's client.
It didn't work too well for me but it has been around for a while. I was using older hardware and a cdrom for the test
bed so my results probably are not typical.

Thanks. I'll check that one out as well. J.R. Juiliano
