How do I make silhouette from an image?? I scanned a photo but when I try to use the Threshold tool doesn't come out perfect. There's always some black spots around and it seems that I can't be sure if I got rid of all of them when using the deleting tools. Is there any easy way to do it?

This is not exactly what I wanted. I tried and I ended up with less spots which was good. What I really wanted is something; if I take your example to explain, that at the end the girl could be completely black inside and the background white. For some reason my background is very difficult to delete from the silhouette because of the spots.

Have you tried to mask and cut out the subject first?

I'm having some trouble understanding what the spots are. Are they on the original scan?

I didn't tried try to mask. You are correct. The spots come from the original scan. I scanne from a magazine. The paper is similar to the newspapers. The image is not a photo but a graphic and that's why I thought would be easier to work on.
