hi all,

what's the easiest way to make a photo into a silhouette?
I want to create a picture with a few different people / poses and also some office equipment

what are the things to look out for, problems I'll face?

thanks

As opposed to the thread you were sent to - the way I do it thats the easiest I think is to give the layer a stroke effect. this way u can decide on its thickness and color in one shot..
now.. if you attach two pics together the effect will work on the combined boundary .. if this isnt whay you want then you need to turn the layer with the effect into an independent image - I do this by creating a new empty layer - linking it with the previous layer (with the effect) and merging them both together.. this will turn it into an image in itself..

good luck

thanks guys, will experiment with the various options...I didnt have a clue where to start other than drawing round the objects and filling them with a solid colour but thought there'd be a better way
