Hi,
Every time we sign on Accpac through the Signon Manager, after closing Accpac, the Signon Manager stays active in the systray. How can I disable this??

Regards

Eric Visser

Hi DjangMan, thanks for your reply. Ok this is the situation:
We have both System Manager 5.2 and Pervasive 8 running on a IBM server. All workstations are running Accpac from the server. Now whenever I have to add new workstations, I have to apply the System Manager Service Pack after the Wssetup.
When applying this service pack, if one of the other stations are running the Signon Manager in the Systray, it will stop, stating that the Signon Manager is running. Then I would have to go all around the building to see who is having the Signon Manager running in the Systray and close them all.
P.S Most of the workstations aare running WIndows XP.

Hmmmm.

I haven't seen that before - but I don't do the software installs.

I'm out of ideas (not that I had any :) ).

Anyone else?

My icon always goes away in 5.2. I remember this was an issue in 5.0. Is it possible this is an upgraded system? If so, you might have some DLL version conflicts. Try renaming CA_APPSW and RUNTIME, then reinstalling System Manager to give yourself a clean set.

Hi, thanks Jay, at least I know that the Signon Manager icon shouldn't remain in the systray active. Yes indeed this is an upgraded version. I thought that maybe it had to do with Windows XP on the workstations.
What I am not sure about is whether I will have to reinstall the license packs as well after reinstaliing System Manager in a new folder, any idea??

Thanks

Eric Visser

No. The license packs (Lanpaks) simply pop a license file in your shared data folder. No need to re-install.

Cheers,

Django
