Hello to all,
I am using ActiveXperts Active Socket product to open a telnet session from our Intranet page to reset a user account on our UNIX box. I followed the instructions at exactly on our domain controller. I'm logged in as administrator. I went into the group policy and added the certificate into the trusted root certification authorities for the default domain policy. (In Group Policy; Computer config, windows settings, security settings, public key policies) I also added our intranet page as a trusted site (user configuration, windows settings, internet explorer maintenance, security, security zones and content, intranet). I ran the gpupdate /force command after making the changes. When I open the intranet page using the Active Socket piece, I still get an error saying : The file was blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature that verifies it's publisher. I looked at the properties of the signed cab file, while the digital signature is shown there is a message : this certificate does not appear to be valid for the selected purpose.

How do I allow this file to be downloaded by users within the intranet? I have been struggling with this for a LONG time. I did contact ActivExperts, but I was told they could not help me because : "Sorry, it is not something we can assist with. It is a very pretty complex thing, and even the smallest mistake makes it not working. The whole process is actually far beyond the scope of Active Socket; it is a process that applies to any software, not only Active Socket." - Bart at ActivExperts

I'm still stuck on this... I cannot get group policy to install this object.

Any suggestions?
