A customer added another PRI to an ATT SDN network without a D channel on the added pipe. To add the second board, I have to check NFAS 'on' in signaling group form. My dilemma is what to do with that 24th channel. The trunk group says it is reserved for D channel and a D channel is not provisioned with the provider. I verified that by placing the 24th port number in secondary d channel field and that knocks the circuit done hard. No biggie really but it leaves a warning that comes back after you blow it out. Never had this problem before because this is the first one ordered this way. Any ideas? S8x00, CM 2.1, TN464GP, Integrated CSU.

Try to set up isdn-ext instead of isdn-pri in Signaling Mode field on 'ch ds' screen of the second PRI channel, then add 24th port to trunk group.

You don't need to add a new Signaling Group. On the Signaling Group form for the first circuit that contains the 'D' channel just add the slot of the second board and the correct Interface ID.

thanks kva and 4mer. I had to change the sig group to NFAS to add the board to the sig group and change the ds1 form to isdn-ext. thanks for your replies!
