Very interesting. both my children can communicate using ASL, one of them out of current necessity. The differences in subject-verb agreement/arrangement between English & ASL made it horrendously difficult to learn at first.
Yes, BSL is British Sign Language which very different from ASL, American Sign Language, both of which are different from Gestuno which is an International Sign Language.
There is also SEE - Sign Exact English, and I believe that Australia has its own version of Sign Language as well.
