I am in the process of upgrading to 5.5 and going to MGCs. The step I am in is programming Sig Servers.

Is there a way to change the alternate NRS IP to 0.0.0.0, since we don't have an alternate NRS? You can't change it to 0.0.0.0, nor can you enter past it... so I have made it a valid, but false IP address in order to to proceed. I think you could wipe out the node and start all over again, but we don't want to do this if there is another way. By giving this a false IP, it causes unnecessary traffic over the network in the form of pings to this address.

Make sure SigServer is role = primary

Boot from Compact flash and go to tools menu
seelct option to update IP info

you should be able to enter 0.0.0.0 as secondary there.

you will then need to import node from Sigserver IP address
you will then need to re-enter any cards and maybe SIP or H323 info.
Be sure to save and transfer and then reboot.
