Hi there everyone,
I have here a Siemens Optiset E Memory telephone in first class physical condition.
However, on connecting the phone to my Siemens Realitis DX (slightly older version of HiPath DX), the header "Optiset E Memory" appears on the screen but nothing else, no dial tone, etc.
My Realitis DX has the latest DTU card fitted (Version 7.4 firmware) and my other phones connected to this card are Siemens Optiset E Advance Plus's, which work OK.
I've tried deleting and uninstalling and then reinstalling the channel on the DTU card with the Optiset E Memory connected but to no avail.
Does the Optiset E Memory phone indeed work on a Siemens Realitis DX?
It would seem strange if it doesn't, since all of the other phones in the Siemens Optiset range do!
Gentlemen, your help and advice would indeed be much appreciated.
Best regards to all,
Telecoman

Never seen one connected to a DX so maybe Hicom only.

cheers

No go on a DX/iSDX i am afraid, hicom/hipath only

This is because ther is no 'image' of the optiset memory e's key map on the DTU line card's firmware.

Bearing in mind that the current policy at Siemens is to push Dx users over to the Hipath/Openscape platform with Openstage phones i do not see the Memoery E's being supported on the DX/iSDX in the future.

Hi dark5tar and Pablo100,

Thank you for your input to this.
I thought this would be the case, just needed confirmation.
I'll put it down to being part of the learning curve!
I still think it rather strange that all of the other phones in the Optiset range work on the Realitis/HiPath DX though I suppose that nothing with Siemens should surprise me any more!
A big thank you gentlemen to you both.
Best regards to all on Tek-Tips,
Telecoman.
