Hello,

Well I am currently facing two separate issues with Siemens Hipath 540 & 3350 and after searching on the web for like 16 hours in total or so,
I got nowhere reading entire Siemens Manuals so you guys are my last hope.
The first issue is that a client wants to to have a group of internals (let's say 11,12,13,14,15) that the incoming calls ring at and after 5 seconds (1 cycle) wants the line to ring at the 19 internal. I have tried the "Incoming Calls -> Call forwarding" and setting as target No.2 Group "Test" (which includes internals 11,12,13,14,15) and target No.3 Group "Main"
(which includes internal 19), setting "Cycles" to "1" (5 seconds) but it does not work.
The second Issue is that we have installed a 3350 on a client and we have activated "Night Mode" (which coontains a voice message) to be Triggered by 5 OptiPoint Devices (internals 11,12,13,14,15). When one of these devices activate "Night Mode" the message plays as it is supposed to do so but the call does not end and the message keeps repeating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That 3350 might still allow you to set up a parallel hunt group, where it will ring all the phones simultaneously, and there might be a timer in there for how long it rings. If the group has an overflow after the first set of phones ring you would use your 19 there. Look to see if that option is in there. Otherwise, I think back in those days the forwarding timer was a systemwide parameter, so you would set the value (sometimes referred to as "Answer Advance") which is probably around 18 seconds for approximately 4 rings, down to 5 seconds, but that could probably place a burden on all the other phones in the system that might go to voicemail or forward unnecessarily. I know on some of the most recent releases of the 4000 that parameter is now able to be overridden per phone.

I'm reaching here on that system, but on other systems in your trunking or line configuration parameters there can be a setting for "answer mode supervision", which can help keep better track of when a call has ended. Of course if the person doesn't hang up the message might quit playing, but some messaging systems have it so you can set an action after the message is played, such as Hang Up. Have a look for that.

Did you programm Call Dest. List 14 for that? By default list 14 is the destination list for all call numbers.
I would assign the incoming line (let's say DID 100) to group 31, then set Target 3 of list 14 to 33 (11,12,13,14,15,19) or just 19 if you don't want 11-15 to ring together with 19 like you say.
To help you further I would need the kds.

For the 3350 issue I would also need the kds.

Make the passwords default before you download the kds and change it back afterwards for security reasons.
