Siemens HiPath 3750 strange message on handsets

Hi I have a problem with a Siemens HiPath 3750 on version 6. There is a message on the screen of all handsets saying "38 new messages." But when option to call voicemail is used via hitting the tick key the handset does nothing and the message remains. A system reboot seems to clear the message but was wondering if anyone else has ever encountered this problem before?

The System is running an IVM8L on version A2-10 HE200V.03.314
