Siemens 9006 - Reset rsca password

Is it possible to reset the rsca password via RMX? I had to do a whole Unix recovery to reset it. Maybe I could have just deleted the CDI file and re-installed it, don't know.

It cannot be reset in RMX. It can be done from Unix root if you have the root password.

What version of 9006 are you running, and when was the last time Siemens or a vendor touched it?

Didn't think it could be from RMX. Years ago I had the root password.

It's a 9006.3. The last time a Siemens touched it was almost 8 years ago. The Siemens tech was me.

Tried the first one a while ago, tried the second with no luck. The second one I never heard of.

I think that was from 6.2, but it has been so long I can't remember. I assume you also tried Siemens2000 ?

Yes tried that, I think that was for 9006.6.
