I miss my sf99.
installed sf99 on xp home, along with truesync plus, and palm desktop. using handspring prism.
all went well after some playing around. after about 5 or 6 months, things went haywire.
when i click on the icon sf99 comes up and then disappears.
tried reinstall. no luck.
remove all referances to starfish, sidekick99, and true sync. from the machine.
did a fresh install. same thing happened.

help. help help i need my sidekick99
frank

ps i checked forum and didn't find a question or help.

thanks

This sounds alot like what happened to sidekick for windows when we had the Y2K problem and had to upgrade to sidekick99. Back then, it did the same thing to me. Any chance your system date is set WAY off?
Have you made sure there isn't some reference to the programs in the registry? You can get a nice little registry cleaner for free at downloads.com called RegCleaner. Just go there and do a search for that name.
It will group all the entries by author, and software name for easy removal from the registry.

Dear franel,
Have you tried checking out the properties of the Shortcut you use to launch Sidekick99, to see if it is pointing at the Sidekick.exe program file in the
C:\Star99\Program folder.
(that is the default installation location)
If not, then just go there
(to the folder C:\Star99\Program) and
right-click on the Sidekick.exe file and choose:
Send to Desktop as shortcut
Failing that, check to see if you have all the following files in that folder:
(I have removed the .SKCard ones)
