I have been using Sidekick99 for years and, luckily, have managed to get it working on a variety of operating systems- the latest was Windows 7 where I installed Windows Virtual PC and and had it running in virtualized Windows XP Mode.

I now have Windows 8.1 and it appears Windows XP mode is no longer available. I presume I have to creaste a Virtual PC environment to get this running and install Windows XP Mode? Is there any other way?

OK, No replies so far- do I have to bite the bullet and forget about SK99 as far as Windows 8.1 isa concerned? Is this the end?

Dear Scotchegg

Check out the following link thread807-1735414 and post the question in there as you may get an answer. I have not upgraded to Windows 8 but I have heard of SK98 working on it.

Jim

Hi Scotchegg

XP Mode may have been discontinued by Microsoft but there are other virtual machines. Take a look at

Another suggestion is: why not use SK98 directly on Windows 8.1? I used SK99 a long time ago and remember the differences being internet scheduling using emails and also a phone dialer. I would have guessed that these no longer function and SK98 covers the bits you use.
