Sidekick 99 to Windows 2000

Hi-

I just converted to Windows 2000 and my calender items (not Tasks but the itmes typed into the calender portion of the screen) no longer show up in legible form in the daily view.

Any ideas?

Hi James33 Thanks for answering. When I try to access either of those pages, I get an access forbidden message when I try to access either of these addresses...something about "Forbidden You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/discontinued.cfg on this server" from Apache/1.3.12 Server at Techsupp.starfish.com Port 80

Dear oak1day,
I think you may have missed the spaces I put in the address,
they have to be in there or the Tek-Tips page gets very wide to accommodate them and so is hard to read without scrolling sideways.
If you copy the entire address and paste it into Notepad then with the Cursor at the beginning of the text you press Ctrl+Right arrow and then each time the cursor jumps to the next space you press delete once...
Then when you have removed all the spaces (i.e. you select all the address and paste it into your address bar), you should get to the webpages I have mentioned.
What I imagine is happening at the moment is that the Request/Page address you are demanding of the server includes a space, and the server is responding as it should;
by denying you access.
I have tried it again just now and even though I am a registered member it is not including that information, because if it were, it would be in the address as my ID and not 'enduser' as is the case.

Hi!

I need some help with starfish sidekick 99. I had windows 98, i saved everything on my D drive when changing the operating system to 2000. Now i reinstalled sidekick and I am trying to import/open my file and it is not working. Please can someone direct with this problem.

Dear N.,
Can you see the Folder Userdata?
With Sidekick open, go to File|Open and navigate to the Userdata folder and you should see the files.
Did you save them through Backup & Restore with Sidekick?

Which files can you not see?
Cardfile, Calendar, etc please be more specific.

The latest version of SDK is SDK99 but it doesn't have the autodialer or Contact logs

To see where you can get SDK98 + the Year 2000 Patch or SDK99.

Your mileage may vary, but a good few people find that SDK98 and SDK99 work with Win2000 and WinXP

I'm using sidekick 99 on win 2000. The daily tasks list does not forward the undone tasks to the next day. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a fix?
