Sidekick 98: out of space on Drice C

I've read and followed the advice on the other posts related to this topic without solving the problem. When I set up Sidekick98 on my new laptop (using XP) from my XP desktop, I got the "out of space" message. Unfortunately, I have since also reinstalled Sidekick on my desktop, and that too now gives the same message on attempts to backup or restore. I guess I could follow the procedure to copy the userfiles to a backup directory and manually restore. But it would be better to used the built in program. By the way, all still works fine on my older Win98 laptop.

Dear Alesk6,

It is a bit strange as I get the out of disk space message if I try to Backup to my 80 gig drive but it works perfectly onto my USB key drive.
What I mean by that statement is why not use the key for backup as it works, has anyone else found the same situation works?

Whoooops!
Further to that last post, I have realised that it won't restore from there! My apologies.
Why don't you use something like SecondCopy that is far easier to use as you can specify all the files you want to back up at the beginning and then all you have to do is double click that profile and voila it gets backed up and you can save any number of backups sequentially.
You do need to backup some of the files when you are not using the program unless you wish to specify all the SKTemp files (for example) that are created in the same directory with the calendar when that is open. Likewise some of the other files shouldn't be accessed whilst being backed up. Try it out and see, it is a great program that does exactly what it says on the box (DEWISOTB) wow another meaningless acronym.. It has been a loooong week!
