Sidekick 98 lost data 1

I opened Sidekick as normal but all data has disappeared from the date I transferred Sidekick 98 onto this computer (May 2007). I have tried restoring from back up in Sidekick but keep getting error messages. I have also tried Vista restore but without success.
I am running Vista Home Premium. Firefox was also updating when I opened Sidekick.

Has anyone had the same experience and found a solution?

I have now carried out a System Restore as of yesterday and I am now back in business - PHEW!!
I still don't know how I lost the data this morning - may have had something to do with the Firefox update.

Dear Peter,

Get a copy of SecondCopy and set it to copy your Userdata folder to another folder on the C:\ Drive on a daily basis.

You can also set it to keep the last 12 versions of the backup which should allow you to recover from the situation if it happens again.
You can also ftp backup to a remote website and you can also create folders named by the Date of backup

I wish I could get money (lots of it) for recommending it as I really love the security it gives me and I have used it for 10 years because, like sidekick; it is a brilliant program.

There is plenty of space on your drive as the cardfiles are only a few megabytes.
