I am running SK 98 on WinXP+SP-3 (+IE7)
Recently I had a major disaster (MoBo failure) and had to by a new PC. It has WinXP installed (this PC will/can not run Win98). I had been running on Win98 until then.
On this new PC, SK98 runs fine but but my problem is I can no longer edit my old calender file, (the one from the Win98 PC).
In this file I have 18 years of family data. That is to say I can open and read/browse/print form file, but if I do any changes and select "save" or "save all" I get a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library" saying:
Program C:\Sidekick\..... sidekick.exe abnormal termination
The box offers an "OK" button (sometimes I'm also offered a "retry" button), whichever button is clicked = "poof" box closes & nothing happens and the changes are not saved of course.
On next start of SK98 the "normal" calender file opens (different one), I stated a new file on the new PC due to this problem.
This file I used as a family "diary" for all these years and I would hate to loose all this data.
Printing a hard copy of this would not be the solution I am looking for.
I would very much appreciate any help I can get
