I have had some success synching Sidekick 98 and my Motorola phone PhoneBook. However, the email addresses do not show up on the phone. It is probably a mapping issue but I have tried so many combinations that I'm now getting lost. Has anyone done this successfully and is there a template I could use?

Dear Dan,
I marked this thread but didn't answer it as it may have stopped someone who knew more about Motorola Phones.
As no-one has offered any advice I thought I would offer a hand as you may have needed some moral support to get a solution.
If we could cover the obvious points first and then something may click in your mind (or mine).
First have you backed up all your Data?
Then:
1. Is there an email field present in the Motorola Phone Book?
2. Can you create a blank address book in the motorola phone?
3. Does this blank address book have a field called email address
4. When mapping fields on first synchronising what is the field that you use for email addresses; is it called that.
Sorry to sound so repetitive but I am just getting it clear in my head.
Post back and we can go from there.
HTH

Jim:
Thanks for your help. The field names match and I have tried an empty book on the phone. Everything syncs perfectly except e-mails. Actually, when I sync it wipes out the email addresses on the phone. I have tried the process with Outlook and am getting the same results so I don't think it has to do with Sidekick. Thanks again for responding, I really appreciate people like you.
I will search for someone trying to do the same thing.

Best Regards,

Dan
