When i am trying to install the sidekick 95 to my new pc with win 2000 I see the message (sidekick 95 requires windows NT version 3.51 or greater)and did not start the installation.
What can I do?

Dear sidekickhelp,
I posted this at your other question + check other posts here about Sidekick99 on win2000
See FAQ807-1313 for how to get a copy of SDK99

I had no real trouble in installing Sidekick95 into Windows 2000 Pro after I took a file from my copy of WIN95 system files and placed it into the directory where the programme was installed. I'm operating in my dual boot WIN95 section at the moment and can't check the name of the file which WIN2k2 said it couldn't find, but after I copied that file into the directory from WIN95 it did work as expected.

The only trouble, alas, and Starfish comments on this, is when you open the programme under W2K, the TODO and CALL lists do not advance from the previous day. Starfish merely says that the programme wasn't designed for W2K and that that behaviour is to be expected. I haven't tried Sidekick98 nor Sidekick99 as yet, but what Starfish says about SK99 is that that programme has no way of exporting files into externally compatible formats.

I wonder if Starfish did adequate demographics to see who they left behind when they discontinued SIDEKICK? Starfish is now partnering with FranklinCovey on an organizer-manager which is compatible in a number of situations: PC, palm pilot, wireless, etc. I haven't gotten very far in determining whether their programme is equivalent or not.
